Skinfolk Review and Giveaway CLOSED

Welcome to Day 2 of the San Diego Etsy Week Event!

Sometimes you come across a shop that is truly unique and special.  Skinfolk in one such shop.  It has so many one of a kind items it's hard to decide what to buy.  Tisha specializes in Natural Body Butters, Herbal Salves, and Healing Soaks.  But what makes her unique is the love and care she puts into every single one of her products which includes using only quality ingredients.

One of my favorite things at Skinfolk is the Selah... Pause and Enjoy Life Bath Sachets.  The combo of buttermilk, mango butter, flowers, and Dead Sea Salts make these Sachets a DREAM come true!  They smell fantastic and are very soothing.  I had a rough day the other day, so I threw the Sachet into the bath, let it soak for a few minutes, gave it a squeeze, then sat back and relaxed.  I really enjoyed the scent and how relaxed it made me feel.  Just a warning though, it's addicting!  I want to take a Selah bath every day!

Dry skin problems?  Skinfolk offers a wide variety of solutions designed to help heal and sooth your skin.  The Karite, made of raw Shae Butter, smells amazing and really works.  With all of my recent airline travels I have found that me knees and elbows have been really dry when I return home so I've been rubbing a bit of Karite on them at night and have found it has helped a ton.  Tisha also offers Butters made from Cocoa Butters, Cupuacu Butters, Tucuma Butters, and Golden Kpangnan Butters.  So read the product descriptions and pick the Butter that will work the best to help sooth your dry skin problems!  Remember, since these use raw ingredients a little goes a loooooong way!

I also have had the pleasure of trying out Tisha's The Balm and I really saved the best for last in this review!  As a lot of you know, I recently had shoulder surgery and have been struggling with a shoulder injury for over a year now.  The Balm has been a MIRACLE worker!  I rub it on my shoulder at night before going to bed because I find that I notice the pain and stiffness of my shoulder most at night as I'm trying to sleep.  But for the last couple of weeks as I've been using The Balm I haven't noticed nearly as much soreness or stiffness!  I started putting it on in the mornings, too, to help with my day to day soreness and have noticed quite a difference!  I am no longer on the heavy painkillers that had been making me light headed and forgetful, and I think a HUGE part of that is thanks to Tasha and The Balm.  Thank you, Tasha!!!

As I mentioned before, Skinfolk uses only ethically produced, fair trade ingredients that are of the highest quality.  They do not use water, minderal oil, hydrogenated oils, chemical preservatives, cheap ingredients, or frangrance oil!  In a world that seems to accept cheap ingredients and short-cuts with open arms, this shop is a breath of fresh air!  Tisha makes her product from scratch recipes,  natural preservatives of vitamin e, honey, citric acid, and essential oils, and lots of love!  Give Skinfolk a shot and you will never go back to cheap, store bought butters and salves again!

What I Love: The amount of thought, love, and care that goes into every product sold at Skinfolk.  They smell fantastic, work amazingly well, and use quality ingredients.  The prices are great considering the quality, so really, what more could you ask for?

What I Don't Love: The Sachets are one-time use only.  That makes me sad because I want to take a bath with one EVERY SINGLE DAY, but I'd pretty much go broke if I did that!  It's well worth the cost for the one-time use, however.  I just wish I could use it more!

BUY IT!

I KNOW you want to run on over to Skinfolk now and buy everything in the shop.  I know that if you do, you won't regret it!  So head on over and take a look around and know that anything you buy will be well worth the price you pay!

I highly recommend the Selah Sachets ($3 each or 4 for $10), the Karite ($5 for 1.6 oz., $10 for 4 oz.), and if you suffer from any aches or pain you have to try The Balm ($5 for 1.6 oz, $10 for 4oz.).

Get free samples with every order and only one cent shipping on all soaks!

WIN IT!
