EcoMom Review and Giveaway

It was brought to my attention recently that I don't often review shosp and products directed at Moms for babies and children.  The main reason for this is- I don't have any of my own!  But it's been requested that I do a few and since I'm spending the summer with my ADORABLE 8 month old nephew I figured "Hey!  Why not!".  Since I am not yet a Mom and my nanny experience is with a toddler, not a baby, I asked my sister if she would guest review for me!  She happily agreed so today I bring to you one of my all-time favorite eco-stores EcoMom!!!

Now, EcoMom isn't just for Moms!  She has some really, really great products in her shop that would be great for single eco-friendly ladies like myself.  But since she's EcoMom, and you've been asking to learn about some baby-related products, I decided to have her do this review instead.  My nephew just cut his first tooth so we thought there would be nothing more appropriate to review than the Under the Nile Grape Teether!  Here's what my sister has to say about this wonderful product!

We got this teether the day after my 8-month old son cut his first tooth. Literally everything was going in his mouth from shoes to dog toys so I was thankful to have something safe and interesting for him to chew on. It's not that we don't have other teethers or toys for him to chew on, he is at that age where nothing keeps his attention. The teether actually captured and kept his attention (no small feat) for a good 10 minutes! I think he liked the texture and found that it had a little 'bounce' to it. Once the newness of the toy wore off, I gave it to him to play with while changing him and it kept him chewing.

I like this toy because it is made from organic cotton, I don't have to worry about him sucking on it, wondering what is in the stuffing or cloth that he could possibly ingest. Besides the fact that it is super cute, it is easy for him to handle, and soft, yet solid enough to be thrown around. I also like this company, it aids in improving the situation of people in 13 villages in Egypt.

One thing I would like to see with this toy is the washing instructions. I'll probably just throw it in the wash, but I'd like to be warned if I will have grape-colored onesies when it comes out. Overall, I would purchase this for myself or as a present for someone. It's very reasonably priced, safe, cute, and functional.

What I Love: EcoMom has some great products for you and your baby to help you keep a healthy, chemical free home!  The prices are very reasonable, so much so the giveaway prize will really go a looooong way!  The website is attractive and easy and fun to explore!

What I Don't Love: That I don't have a little one of my own (yet) to buy things for from EcoMom!
