Kissaluvs Review and Giveaway CLOSED

Another request I've gotten from time to time that I've mostly overlooked at this point is a review on cloth diaper companies.  You all know how much I LOVE cloth diapers and advocate for their uses, so, once again, I've listen up and decided to start featuring some great cloth diaper companies on my blog to help you make a decision on what brands to use on your Little One!  So where do I start with this one?  Why, Kissaluvs, of course!

When I first started learning about cloth diapers Kissaluvs was the company that I was first turned onto.  My CDing friend RAVED about their Organic Cotten Fitted Newborn Diapers, which was almost her entire stash of NB diapers.  She said she'd tried a few other brands but they all leaked, but Kissaluvs NB Fitted paired with a diaper cover was her fool proof go-to that even her husband could put on (he just could NOT get a handle on prefolds!).  So I've known for a long time that Kissaluvs was a reputable company with great products so right away of thought of them to do a review for.

Upon visiting their site I was thrilled to see that they are WAY more than those wonderful Organic Cotton Fitted Diapers (which are available in sizes that will fit your baby's bum from 5-15 pounds and then 15-40 pounds!).  They have beautiful PUL and wool covers, cotton fleece fitten diapers, AIO diapers, and to my surprise- beautiful OS fitted diapers!  I wasn't aware until this moment that Kissaluvs had a line of OS fitted diapers!

I LOVE OS fitted diapers.  With a passion.  I love how adorable they are and how absorbant they are (at least they were for me the handful of times I've put them on a LO while babysitting) so I was really thilled to see that Kissaluvs, a wonderful and reputable company, offered line of fun Marvels OS Fitteds Diapers!  They sent me a Two Hoots Marvels OS Fitted Diaper to take a look at and tell you guys all about.

The first thing that struck me when I opened the package was how bright this diaper is.  The colors are so vibrant and beautiful and the fabric so soft I was tempted to play with the fabric between my fingers again, but my boss was already giving me the "What is THAT!" look from across the office so I resisted.  And if the outer fabric impresses you just wait until you unsnap this diaper and check out the inside!  Two words: Bamboo Velour!  Do I really need to say any more?  This is one of the softest fabrics available for cloth diapering today and you will not hesitate to put it against your baby's sensitive skin.  The diaper also contains a sewn-in microfiber liner for extra absorbancy.

Now, I can't say anything for the absorbancy of the diaper.  The LO it's going to hasn't been born yet and since this diaper fits most babies between 10-40 pounds she may not even be able to wear it for another month or two.  But if it is anything like Kissaluvs Organic Cotton NB Fitteds, it's sure to be a reliable and absorbant diaper!

I also really, really love how most of the fabric choices for this diaper are gender neutral.  While I know it's tempting to buy a lot of pinks and flowers if you have a girl, imagine if baby #2 is a boy.  You'd have to rebuy a whole stash of diapers or diaper your son in girly prints.  If you think you may be diapering more than one and maybe even diapering more than one at the same time, gender neutral is the most eco-friendly way to go!

What I Love: There are 6 beautiful and vibrant designs to choose from that are mostly gender neutral.  The bamboo velour inner fabric is soft and non-iritating so it's perfect for your baby's bottom.  Kissaluvs is a great company with a wonderful reputation.  OS diapers fit most babies from 10-40 pounds so your baby could use this diaper from about 1-2 months old all the way through potty training!  And until they are big enough to fit this diaper, why not pick up some of the Organic Cotton NB fitteds?  I hear they are amazing!  Pair both with a colorful Kissaluvs Marvel OS Cover!

What I Don't Love: The only thing that stuck out to me as being different about Kissaluvs Marvels OS Fitted Diaper compared to other fitted diapers is the absence of a snap-in liner.  Because of the inner microfiber soaker I don't think you'll need a snap-in soaker and not having one make the diaper more trim, but I know a lot of people like the flexibility that a snap-in soaker gives you so you may be turned off by the lack of one in this diaper.  Kissaluvs told me that they designed it this way to make things easier for Mom!  With 3 body layers and 2 soaker layers it is absorbant and doesn't need a snap-in soaker!
